Pakistan is one of three countries where polio is endemic, one of the few countries with new a strain of polio, and one of the few countries where dengue fever, measles, and other preventable illnesses still ravage the civilian population. With the help of public health experts and engineers, Paani has developed a solar powered fridge that can be utilized to ensure that donated vaccinations in Pakistan remain effective. This new innovation caters toward the problems that Pakistan faces after millions of dollars of vaccinations donated from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation were rendered ineffective because a lack of proper carriers. This also works to provide vaccinations to rural populations where electricity is still unreliable.
